Tack mamma!
Mamma skickade Helosan till mina torra händer. TACK MAMMA!

Där ligger den bra!

Jag är gladare än jag ser ut att vara.
Wacom and smog and dust.
Idag har jag spenderat hela dagen med att frilägga produktbilder. Fick låna denna Wacom medan jag jobbade med det. Wihoo! Såg också att man kan lägga in egna bakgrunder (eller teckningar) på den och sen rita av till datorn. Fatta vad smart?! Jag vill ha!
The second pic shows the smog and dust in the air when I walked home on this lovely evening.

It hasn't been easy to keep my mood up here in China. Sometimes it is so frustrating not even being able to tell the cab driver where you want to go, all your Google results are in Chinese, you can't ask where the nearest western style bathroom is, read menus so you don't have to eat that yucky pigs throat again, not knowing the proper way to say "cheers" and have a drink with someone, listen to the radio or even go to the movies.
Yeah, some days I've felt really really low. One of those days I really need music. But when we got to Shanghai I noticed that none of my mysic was successfully copied on to the external hard drive. And Spotify isn't working. Not because I'm i a foreign country but the internet connection is too slow to stream music. And Youtube is blocked. And I can't have Spotify on my job computer because it takes too much of the bandwidth.
When things are that rotten. What do I do?
Well, I google a fragment of the lyricts from some of my favourite songs and look them up on youtube. Because youtube works in the office and I really need the pepp so I 'forget' that I'm not supposed to do that at the office. Now I'm sharing some of the pepp with you. Here you go! Listen to it at least once and think of me :)
Do not want!
Interactive displays
This is one of the things I love about China: almost all taxis have interactive displays at the back seat. The display show commercials, movie trailers, maps, make surveys... pretty much anything but serve coffee. It's really fun to use and see. It's a great marketing channel, if only more of the ads were interactive! Now the only interactive about these touch screens are the surveys and the maps.
Anyhow, since taxis are so cheap here they're good. but I can't see a market for them in Sweden because taxis are so expensive there. But what if you put interactive displays on buses or trains where there are print ads now? That'd be something!
Okok, so I took one of the surveys. It was about drinking and driving, and the questions were a bit odd. But plus for faving the survey in both Chinese and English!
Also, after completing the survey you could have a look on statistics from older surveys... like this one!

First client meeting and terminator pics
On our way to my first client meeting to present ideas. It was an exciting experience, though all in chinese. I picked up "eye nigga" and "beige norwegian"... but I'm not too sure that's what they actually said.
Life ain't easy, being a Swede in a foreign country!

One of the streets outside Red town. Most don't look like this, but apparently it is a good resemblance of what the rest of China looks like. Here Bob picked us up in his car and we went to the client meeting. But furst we bumped into a vespa!

Finding a parking lot ain't easy. Neither is finding your way out of it!

Terminator country.

The office!

Accident
I'm having a quite stubborn cold, that makes my nose all runny. So every five minutes I go to the toilet to blow my nose (the toilet paper is so sooooft!). Today there was a queue outside the toilets... why? We'll Marcus got locked in one of them. The one with the broken lock. Leo was nice though, he asked if he should order in lunch for him, haha! Poor Marcus, our toilets are so cold. Brr!
